About AGCC

Action for a Global Climate Community (AGCC) is a non-profit organisation that convenes talks between government officials, climate specialists, and civil society groups over the world toward creating a “Global Climate Community” based on equity, solidarity and shared responsibility.

AGCC was founded following an international conference on global warming held at Wilton Park 15th-17th November 2003, and sponsored by the One World Trust.

The Chanctonbury Initiative sets out the key principles that could lead to a Global Climate Community.

Action for a Global Climate Community calls for a new political initiative within the United Nations Framework Convention of Climate Change (UNFCCC) where key developed, particularly the European Union, and key developing countries take the lead in creating this “global climate community” within sustainable development framework.
